How to check it, step by step

  1. Keep your numbers ready. Find your claim or intimation number and your policy number. The claim number comes when the claim is logged; the policy number is on your schedule and health card.
  2. Open the official claim status page. Go to Reliance General's own claim status page at transact.indusindinsurance.com/claims/claim-page-health. Check the address before you type anything.
  3. Enter what it asks for. The page asks for policy number or claim number.
  4. Read the status and act on it. Match the status to the table below. If there is a query, answer it in writing and keep proof of the date.

What you need to hand

  • Claim or intimation number. Given when the claim is logged, and printed on authorisation and query letters.
  • Policy number. On your policy schedule and your health card or e-card.
  • The patient's details as on the policy. Name and date of birth, spelled the same way.

The IRDAI time limits

These limits come from IRDAI and apply to every insurer, Reliance General included. Your policy wording may show older timelines; the 2024 master circulars are the current IRDAI position.

These are from Reliance General's website. Your policy wording sets your deadline; if the two differ, follow the shorter one.

If the claim is stuck, cut or rejected

  1. Write to the insurer's grievance officer with your policy and claim numbers. The insurer must resolve it within 14 days.
  2. Register it on IRDAI's Bima Bharosa portal at bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in if you want it tracked. This step is optional.
  3. Go to the Insurance Ombudsman within one year if the insurer rejects your complaint, does not reply within a month, or replies in a way you do not accept.

How long can Reliance General take to settle my claim?

IRDAI's limits apply to every insurer. A cashless request must be decided within one hour and final discharge authorised within three hours. A reimbursement claim must be settled within 15 days of submission, or the insurer pays interest at bank rate plus 2%.

What does query raised mean on my claim?

The insurer or TPA wants more information or a document before it decides. Send exactly what the query asks for, in writing, and keep proof of the date. IRDAI's 2024 master circular says no claim shall be rejected or closed for want of documents or for delayed intimation.

Is superclaim part of Reliance General?

No. superclaim is not Reliance General and cannot see or change your claim. For your claim status, use Reliance General's official channels. A person at superclaim can explain a status or a query letter if you send it on WhatsApp.
