superclaim is not SBI General; for your claim status, the official channels are the ones below, taken from sbigeneral.in. We cannot see or change your claim on the insurer's systems.

SBI General's official channels

We list only channels we could read on SBI General's own website. We did not find a WhatsApp number stated for claims there, so it is left out.

SBI General's website names the company as SBI General Insurance Company Limited (sbigeneral.in/contact-us, checked 28 Sep 2026).

How to check it, step by step

  1. Keep your numbers ready. Find your claim or intimation number and your policy number. The claim number comes when the claim is logged; the policy number is on your schedule and health card.
  2. Open the official claim status page. Go to SBI General's own claim status page at sbigeneral.in/claim/claims-status-and-intimation. Check the address before you type anything.
  3. Enter what it asks for. Enter the claim details the page asks for, exactly as they appear on your letters.
  4. Read the status and act on it. Match the status to the table below. If there is a query, answer it in writing and keep proof of the date.

What you need to hand

  • Claim or intimation number. Given when the claim is logged, and printed on authorisation and query letters.
  • Policy number. On your policy schedule and your health card or e-card.
  • The patient's details as on the policy. Name and date of birth, spelled the same way.

If the claim is stuck, cut or rejected

  1. Write to the insurer's grievance officer with your policy and claim numbers. The insurer must resolve it within 14 days.
  2. Register it on IRDAI's Bima Bharosa portal at bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in if you want it tracked. This step is optional.
  3. Go to the Insurance Ombudsman within one year if the insurer rejects your complaint, does not reply within a month, or replies in a way you do not accept.

The full steps are in our guide to what to do when a claim is rejected or cut.

How superclaim helps

Send us the status, the query letter or the settlement letter on WhatsApp. A person reads it, explains it in plain words, and tells you what the insurer is asking for and what to send back. We do not replace the insurer's channels, and we never ask for an OTP, card or bank details.

Questions

How do I check my SBI General claim status?

Use the claim status page on sbigeneral.in, the SBI General Insurance Mobile App (SBIG Mobile App) or the helpline 1800 210 3366. These are SBI General's own channels, taken from its website.

What do I need to check my SBI General claim status?

Keep your claim or intimation number and your policy number ready. The patient's name and date of birth, as on the policy, also help.

How long can SBI General take to settle my claim?

IRDAI's limits apply to every insurer. A cashless request must be decided within one hour and final discharge authorised within three hours. A reimbursement claim must be settled within 15 days of submission, or the insurer pays interest at bank rate plus 2%.

What does query raised mean on my claim?

The insurer or TPA wants more information or a document before it decides. Send exactly what the query asks for, in writing, and keep proof of the date. IRDAI's 2024 master circular says no claim shall be rejected or closed for want of documents or for delayed intimation.

Is superclaim part of SBI General?

No. superclaim is not SBI General and cannot see or change your claim. For your claim status, use SBI General's official channels. A person at superclaim can explain a status or a query letter if you send it on WhatsApp.
