What moves the price
- Room category. The room is ₹36,000 of this bill (estimate). On a policy with a room rent limit, a room above the limit also cuts what the insurer pays on doctor and OT charges, in the same ratio. A room within your limit avoids that cut.
- Days in hospital. Each extra day adds room rent, nursing, medicines and tests.
- Implant or devices. ₹1,57,500, or 35% of this bill (estimate). The make and type of implant move the bill more than any other head.

Room rent ₹9,000 a day for 4 days (example), a semi-private room, on the typical bill above. All amounts are estimates.
